Consignment Services

Platte Furniture Consignment Policy:

  • Revenue Split: We offer a 50/50 consignment split, meaning you receive 50% of the final sale price.
  • Pricing Adjustments: The price of consigned items is reduced by 5% every two weeks to encourage sales.
  • Review at 90 Days: After three months, we will contact you to discuss whether to further discount the item, extend the consignment period for two additional months, or arrange for its return.
  • End of Consignment Period: If the item remains unsold after five months, you will have the option to pick it up within 7 days or allow us to donate or dispose of it. Items not picked up within this timeframe will automatically be donated.
  • Payment: Payouts are issued monthly or after all items have sold, based on your preference. Checks can be picked up in-store or mailed upon request.
  • Condition & Acceptance: We accept gently used, high-quality furniture that is clean, structurally sound, and free of damage, odors, or excessive wear. Our team reserves the right to decline any item based on condition or market demand.
  • Liability Disclaimer: While we take great care in displaying and handling your items, Platte Furniture is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage that may occur while the item is on consignment.
  • Early Pick-Up Fee: If removed early, the consignor pays a 20% fee based on the original listing price (with a $75 minimum).
